The Rajasthan Roadways provide Jodhpur with a comfortable, reliable travel experience. Convenient, air conditioned Volvo buses run smoothly from Delhi’s Bikaner House, taking approximately 10 hours to cover the expanse of 600 kms to Jodhpur. Ahmedabad and Agra are also among the major cities that connect to Jodhpur by road.
The Rajasthan Road Transport Corporation provides services via bus to all of the cities located in Rajasthan from Jodhpur (Barmar, Jalor, Pali, Bikaner and Nagaur). Private buses are also an option, traveling from Jaipiur (345 kms), Udaipur (260 kms), Jaisalmer (290 kms), and Bikaner (240 kms).
Train
Jodhpur’s railways provide transportation to and from major metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. Suryanagari Express and Ranakpur Express service travelers arriving from Mumbai to Jodhpur, and Howrah-Jodhpur Express connects the city to outer, eastern metros such as Kolkata.
Companies such as Mandore Express, Intercity Express and Rajasthan Sampark Kranti serve passengers and travelers with smooth trips between the destinations of Delhi and Jodhpur.
Air
Jodhpur’s airport is conveniently located 5 kms from the center of the city. Taxis (Rs 200) or autorickshaws (Rs 100) are available to take you from the airport directly to your hotel.
Jodhpur connects to the major cities and destinations of Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Udaipur–where most flights connect–via domestic airlines such as Air India, Kingfisher and Jet Airways:
Indian Airways provides daily flights to Jodhpur from Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Udaipur. Jet Airways provides daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai, and Kingfisher services daily flights from Dehli, Udaipur and Jaipur. Tickets are available at the airline office located on Airport Road, open from 10AM to 1PM, and 2PM to 4:30PM seven days a week.
